Who is Domo Kun?
Domo Kun is a monster who lives in a cave. He is friends with Mr Usajii (a rabbit), Shinobu-san and Morio-kun (two bats) and Tani-chan (a bear?). The name Japanese Domo Kun roughly translates as "Mr. Thank you".
Domo Kun started off as a mascot for the Japanese TV station NHK, but now he seems to have a life of his own. He has now become an Internet meme and a cultural icon. Domo Kun merchandise makes a great buy for kids, especially teenagers. Anyone older will also love to receive a Domo Kun gift, especially anyone who uses the Internet a lot and is likely to be aware of what an important cultural icon he is.
